1. Who we are

Wisdom Platform (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a micro-learning community where people 50+ share life lessons as text and audio content. Our registered office is at 123 Elm Street, London, UK.

2. Data we collect

• Account data: display name, email address, hashed password, gender (optional).
• Content data: lessons you write, audio generated from your text.
• Usage data: view counts, listen counts, share events, bookmarks.
• Session data: a secure HttpOnly cookie used to keep you signed in.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to operate the platform, moderate content, personalise your experience, and send transactional emails (e.g. password resets). We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Text-to-speech processing

When you publish a lesson, the text may be sent to Google Cloud Text-to-Speech or Amazon Polly to generate an audio file. These providers process text under their own privacy policies. The resulting audio is stored on our servers.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Deleted lessons are soft-deleted and purged after 30 days. Session tokens expire after 30 days of inactivity.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us at privacy@wisdomplatform.com to exercise these rights.

8. Changes to this policy
